Centro Semilla invita a “Los Expedientes Secretos Chihuahua” hoy a las 6pm.

Este Viernes 20 y Sábado 21 de Septiembre GIFAE y Centro Semilla deleitarán a los amantes del fenómeno OVNI.

Semilla Centro de Ciencia y Tecnología invita a la ciudadanía a que no se pierdan las dos conferencias del tema ovni este fin de semana en las instalaciones del Centro Semilla. Como parte de la continuidad al ya tradicional ciclo de conferencias del Centro Semilla. Para los apasionados del fenómeno ovni este fin de semana viernes 20 y sábado 21 de septiembre en coordinación con el Grupo de Investigación de Fenómenos Aeroespaciales, (GIFAE) el ciclo de conferencias “Los Expedientes Secretos Chihuahuenses”, mismas que contarán con la presencia de más de 20 investigadores y expertos del tema de todo el Estado, arrancando el viernes en punto de las cinco de la tarde a nueve de la noche y el sábado 21 de septiembre de cinco a diez de la noche. El viernes 20 de septiembre se desarrollaran los temas: • La Presencia OVNI en Chihuahua y sus bases extraterrestres, por el Ing. Presidio, Texas Hosts UFO Festival Featuring Travis Walton and Lloyd Pye on Oct. 18 & 19, 2013

Travis Walton and Lloyd Pye, two of the world's best-known speakers on the subject of unidentified flying objects, will speak at the 2nd Annual Border Zone International UFO Festival to be held Oct. 18 & 19, 2013 in the Texas border town of Presidio.

Presidio UFO Incident

PRLog (Press Release) - Sep. 17, 2013 - PRESIDIO, Texas -- Some people call Presidio, Texas, "the New Roswell." The scenic border town, located in the spectacular Big Bend region of Texas, is within 50 miles of where a flying saucer allegedly crashed in 1974. On October 18 & 19th, 2013, Presidio will host its second annual Border Zone International UFO Festival to commemorate the event. Festivities will include a "ghost hunt" at historic Fort Leaton by a group of paranormal investigators, a laser light experiment at the Marfa Lights viewing site, a music festival at the Presidio Racetrack, an Unlimited Financial Opportunity (UFO) Trade Show, and free UFO lectures, including one by Travis Walton, whose story of being abducted and kept aboard a UFO for five days became the Paramount movie Fire in the Sky.

Last year's Border Zone weekend drew close to 1,000 people to the various events held in Presidio, Marfa, and Ojinaga, Mexico. It also received extensive media coverage, including being broadcast live on radio and covered by major Texas newspapers, including the San Antonio Express-News and the Houston Post.

Travis Walton, who will deliver the keynote UFO lecture on Saturday evening, lived through what is generally regarded as the world's best-documented alien abduction event. On November 5, 1975, in plain sight of six other men, Mr. Walton was blasted by a beam of blue-green light that emanated from a large UFO that hovered directly overhead. He then disappeared for five days. A lie detector test of Walton's companions established that they had indeed seen a UFO prior to Walton's disappearance. Suspecting foul play, police conducted a massive manhunt in the woods where Walton vanished but failed to locate his body. Five days later, Mr. Walton suddenly re-appeared, telling an amazing tale of having been taken aboard a UFO, where he saw extraterrestrial beings.

This year's Festival also features internationally-known author and lecturer Lloyd Pye, who will tell the story of the mysterious "Starchild" skull found in the 1930s near Copper Canyon in Chihuahua state. The skull appears to be that of a non-human and its features somewhat resemble those of a "grey" alien. DNA testing has suggested that the skull is not entirely human. In addition to the latest information on the Starchild Skull, Mr. Pye will also give a talk on his theory that extraterrestrials visited the Earth during life's infancy and actually "intervened" in our development.

Also scheduled to speak at this year's festival are Noe Torres and Ruben Uriarte, authors of Mexico’s Roswell, the first book to reveal the story of a reported mid-air collision between a small plane and a UFO about 50 miles northwest of Presidio on August 25, 1974. Torres and Uriarte have written a follow-up book about the case, The Coyame Incident: UFO Crash Near Presidio, Texas, which will be officially debuted at the Presidio festival.

The authors have spent the last six years, since the publication of their first book, investigating the incident further and have found new witnesses and new information that seems to prove a UFO really did fall in the Mexican desert near Presidio. Copies of their new book will be available for the first time ever at the Border Zone Festival, prior to going on sale anywhere else.

As part of the Festival, the public is invited to join members of the Laredo Paranormal Research Society (LPRS) as they conduct a full-scale "ghost hunt" at the historic Fort Leaton in Presidio, Texas, on Friday, Oct. 18, 2013 from 8 p.m. to 10 p.m. Fort Leaton has been identified as a verifiable "haunted place" by several paranormal investigation groups. The original owner, Ben Leaton, is reported to have carried out a slaughter of unsuspecting local Indians, after inviting them to a "peace council" in the fort. There were a number of other violent episodes involving murder and mayhem in the fort over the years that followed.

The UFO lecture series also includes talks by several other authors and UFO researchers, including Dr. Francisco Morales, whose recent book Coyame: A History of the American Settler includes a chapter about UFOs;  Stephen Andrasko, speaking about the Pascagoula UFO Incident; and Mexican UFO researchers Gilberto Rivera of Chihuahua and Carlos Guzman of Mexico City.

In addition to the UFO lectures, the Border Zone Festival weekend will also feature the annual Dude of the Dead Music Festival (Oct. 18-20), with most of its live music taking place on Saturday night after the final UFO lecture.  Music will take an “Americana” slant, with acts that include The Doodlin’ Hogwallops, The Rocky Top Alien Breeding Experiment, Anthony Ray Band, Skin ‘N Bones, Lbs., David Shane & the Dusty Ramblers, and Tom Griffith. Also, Ismael Cuellar and his group, the Laredo Paranormal Research Society (LPRS), will conduct further research into the Marfa Lights phenomenon at the official viewing station, located south of Marfa, on Thursday night. Once again this year, the public is invited to attend, as the group uses handheld lasers in an attempt to influence the behavior of the lights. Their experiment last year, which was covered on the front page of the San Antonio Express-News, actually did show that the Marfa Lights seem to react when exposed to laser beams.

In addition to the "spooky stuff," the Festival also features an international trade show, sponsored by the newly-formed Presidio Municipal Development District (PMDD) formerly the Development Corporation of Presidio (DCOP).  The first "UFO" [Unlimited Financial Opportunity] Trade Show takes place October 18 & 19, 2013, at the Presidio Activity Center. There will be no charge for booth space for exhibitors. Space is available on a first come basis.
